Back to Rheumatology Answers List Question: Foot pain | PatrickA - Wed Jan 05, 2005 8:19 pm | I walk almost every morning. A couple days ago in mid afternoon I noticed my right foot hurt when I walked, at first it was constant, I took yesterday off from my morning walk and about midday I noticed my foot no longer hurt. This morning I went for my walk and about 3/4 a mille into it the pain came back. So I cut the walk short at a mile. Currently the foot doesn't hurt at all, I can walk on it and its fine (unlike Monday). However I'm worried that this will cut into my morning exercise.
The pain is along the outside edge of the foot, across from the arch. It is only in that area, doesn't extend to the ball or heel and is only on the edge not further itowards the center. When the pain was constant it was only during walking, standing was fine, touching or massaging was fine.
Any ideas what this might be and what I can do to alleviate, cure, fix it?
